Musculus tibialis posterior är en djupt liggande skelettmuskel på underbenets baksida. Den används för att böja foten nedåt (plantarflektera) samt vrida fotsulan inåt (inversion). Muskeln har sitt ursprung i den övre tredjedelen av den bakre och inre sidan av fibula samt den övre delen av tibia samt i membranet mellan fibula och tibia. Muskeln följer underbenet neråt längs underbenet och övergår i en sena som rundar den mediala malleolen.
